Gregory M. "Mike" Madden, 54, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, in Salina. Mike was born Dec. 20, 1956, in Salina. He worked in the maintenance department for the Kansas Highway Patrol in Salina until June 2010.
He attended First Baptist Church of Salina. He loved animals and had rescued many dogs from the Saline County Animal Shelter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Verna Beth (Hamel) Madden.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie, of the home; one daughter, Jennifer M. McQuillan and husband Billy, of Gypsum: and his grandchildren, Emma, Gage, Scarlett, Cassie and Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth St., Salina, with the Rev. Kevin Hazelton. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the mortuary. Memorials are suggested to the Saline County Animal Shelter.
