Timothy J. Martin, 50, died Feb. 29, 2008, in Salina after collapsing at work.
Mr. Martin was born Nov. 18, 1957, in Salina. He had worked as a sheet metal/HVAC craftsman in Salina for many years. He owned and operated Midwest Heating and Cooling in Salina for over 17 years, and most recently was working for Systems 4 until his death.
He was an avid fisherman, chess player, poker player and loved old movies.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Patrick, John and Mark Martin.
He is survived by one son, Brent of Salina; one daughter, Stephanie Martin of Salina; the mother of his children, Connie Martin of Salina; his parents, Robert E. and Frances (Wickersham) Martin, of Salina; eight siblings and their spouses, Harold and Beverly Martin of Salina, Chris and Kathy Martin of Addison, TX, Susan and Ken Tackett of Brownstown, IL, Julie and Kevin Maher of Plano, TX, Barbara Martin of Kanopolis Lake, KS, Donna and Doug Smith of Salina, Joan and Rex Jordan of Park City, KS, and Lee Martin of Manhattan, KS.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 9th and Iron Ave., Salina, with Father Allen Scheer officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Solomon, KS. A vigil/rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the cathedral. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, and after 6 p.m. at the cathedral. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
